Aristo MIC-O-LITE Microscope Lamps

Designed to fit most
low power stereo microscopes, and camera lenses, the Aristo
Mic-O-Lite feature slim rings of "cold light" illumination that are
housed in a "doughnut-shaped" aluminum reflector. They are built to
produce bright, cool, uniform and shadow-free illumination.
Once a Mic-O-Lite
is attached to a microscope or camera virtually no light repositioning
or adjustment is required. The quality of light, in most applications,
remains unchanged regardless of magnification or working distance.
Industrial Inspection Q.C. and Assembly
Aristo's
Mic-O-Lites are ideal sources of light for visual inspection in quality
control and in the assembly of miniature parts and components under low
power magnification. Completely encircling the microscope objective, the
ring light surrounds components with light that emanates from every part
of its plane.
Mic-O-Lite
illumination spills into holes, indentations and crevices penetrating
the deepest recesses and providing the viewer with visibility and
details that would normally be obscured by the shadows other light
sources create. Even the introduction of tools- such as a probe, pick or
tweezers - into the light path will not produce shadows or obscure
visibility.
Because the
Mic-O-Lite is secured directly to the objective, it requires no
repositioning and permits the hands of the operator unrestricted freedom
of movement. The operator works efficiently, free of the discomfort of
heat and the annoyance normally caused by cross-shadows.
Where cool,
shadow-free illumination is a prerequisite for precision inspection,
analysis and assembly, Aristo Mic-O-Lites have no equal.
Microcircuit Inspection and Fabrication
Literally
thousands of Mic-O-Lites are used daily in the microcircuit fabrication
industry, attesting to the quality, performance and reliability of these
unique ring lights. The total absence of glare, specular reflections and
strong shadows are characteristics which dramatically reduce eye
fatigue, and guarantee more accurate inspection and greater precision in
component assembly.
Biological and Scientific Microscopy
When Mic-O-Lites
are used in biological microscopy the problem of preserving the
integrity of specimens, especially if alive, ceases to be a problem. The
light from the Mic-O-Lite is cool, and therefore it may be used for
extended periods of study without any adverse radiant effects on
tissues, cultures or organisms.
Mic-O-Lites are
also ideal for the observation of slow crystal formation in wet
preparations. Temperature rise in the solution will not exceed
approximately 2oC (4oF) above room temperature.
Rapid evaporation is avoided, thus permitting much longer periods of
observation than previously possible.
Subtle tonal
variations, and accentuation of detail and texture in the specimen may
be achieved by obscuring or masking a portion of the light.
